Things You Should Never Say to a Bride

Ever heard of the monstrous bride who goes screaming on top of her lungs on her wedding day destroying her mascara and everything that comes in her reach?
That could be a scenario caused by you if you don’t take the fact seriously that there are things that you must not, and I repeat, must not ,say to the bride nor the bride-to-be. Even if it might not trigger the Bridezilla, it could cause enough damage to disrupt her otherwise cheerful normal demeanor throughout her wedding.
And then you know, karma is a vicious cycle. So beware and refrain from saying the following things to a bride:

1.     “Is that your dress? Well, looks nice”

No, stop right there, there when you ask the question and give a pause with a long face. It is her choice and she has some positive connotations with her beloved wedding dress. If you think otherwise, it’s better not to say anything at all. She’s already on an emotional rollercoaster and this certainly isn’t going to help.

2.     “Are you sure about the theme?” (With a look of disdain)

Keep your thought to yourself if you think lavender won’t go with her wedding or a green theme in outdoor setting would not complement the tiara on her head. The color schemes or the settings might not make much sense to you but it’s better to stay calm for the few hours you’re going to spend with it and not ruin her mood with it.

3.     “You look exactly like Veronica from our imagination”

You’re not supposed to compare a bride with anyone, not with her sister, any of your mutual friends, not even to an imaginary friend you both had back in kindergarten- no one means not anyone. Each bride is special and being a guest or a relative, you must ensure you make her feel nothing less, even if your tongue itches to do otherwise.

4.     “This must have gotten you broke”

Well, even if it did, reminding her of the cost incurred she obviously knows every detail about, is total nonsense. Save the calculations, if there’s a dire need to bring it up, for some other day.
Pamper her and let her enjoy the most important time of her life. Dear brides, cosset yourself in the royal carriage and the perks it brings, the wedding limousine by Limo Service Pittsburgh.
